class leak when grails.gsp.enable.reload = true

When grails.gsp.enable.reload = true in Config.groovy, I'm getting a class
leak (permgen runs out). I've reported the issue at
http://jira.grails.org/browse/GRAILS-11296

I'm posting to the dev list here as I'm trying to track down the problem in
Grails... and I'm hoping someone will help me out, perhaps give me some
places to look to get started.
